1 Peter 3:3-4 (NLT)

"Don’t try to make yourselves beautiful on the outside, with stylish hair or by wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes. Instead make yourselves beautiful on the inside, in your hearts, with the enduring quality of a gentle peaceful spirit. This type of beauty is very precious in God’s eyes."

In today’s society, there's often a strong focus on materialistic aspects of beauty, leading us to undervalue our inner beauty compared to our outward appearance. However, as 1 Peter 3: 3-4 reminds us, what’s in our spirit and hearts is far more precious. We should take confidence in our true selves rather than in how we or others perceive our appearance. While God doesn’t discourage dressing well or enjoying high-end brands, it's important to remember that external beauty is less significant than the inner qualities that matter most to Him. Our goal should be to seek God’s approval rather than that of others.

Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

"Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God."

Anxiety is not from God, but it’s a challenge many of us face—characterized by doubt, fear, and self-sabotage due to uncertainty about the future. We often try to control our lives ourselves instead of entrusting our worries to God, who understands every outcome of our decisions. Whether anxiety arises during difficult times or is a constant presence, we must remember to pray and hand over our concerns to God. He is the only one who can guide us with peace through seasons of hardship, much like Jesus calmed the storm with His words while resting peacefully on the boat.

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

"You are the light of the world. A City situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, But rather on a lamp stand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven."

You are genuinely the light of the world, chosen by God to be here for a purpose. Even when you feel your light is dim, it shines brightly to others and to God. Be the vessel He needs you to be, regardless of how you may perceive your own light. Every testimony, whether big or small, serves as a testament to God’s work for others to see. Let’s continue to be the light that God calls us to be, working to expand His kingdom and touch the hearts of those who may have lost their way.
